In this four-day, project-focused session, campers will learn sewing machine basics: general safety, how to thread the machine, how to sew straight lines, and how to make adjustments and troubleshoot the most common issues. Additionally, they will learn how to read patterns and create a minimum of two ready-to-wear pieces. Campers may bring their own working machines from home (please test machine prior to camp) or rent one for an additional fee (a great option for those who would like to see if they enjoy machine sewing before making an investment). The fee includes all notions (thread, needles, elastic, trims, scissors, pins, etc.) and two complete sewing patterns. Campers will provide their own fabrics to match their individual tastes!
