Students will have the opportunity to explore new concepts, conduct hands-on science experiments, make new friends, and develop new interests. The young scientists will learn why DNA is considered the "code" of life and begin the week extracting DNA from a variety of organisms. The young scientists will also explore the many roles of water and enzymes in living systems; test how environmental changes affects plants; and throughout the week monitor the hatching of brine shrimp. Throughout the camp, students will use the equipment found in most science research labs.
