Unleash your imagination this summer in our Art & Writing Camp, where creativity knows no bounds! Campers will explore the exciting connection between visual art and written expression. From crafting beautiful paper flower canvases using recycled books to writing ekphrastic poetry inspired by their own and famous masterpieces, this camp is perfect for young artists and writers eager to experiment with new forms of self-expression.
Throughout the week, campers will dive into a variety of hands-on projects, including:
Mixed Media Art: Discover how to combine paint, collage, and other materials to create unique works of art.
Ekphrastic Poetry: Learn how to write poems inspired by visual art, drawing connections between imagery and language.
Recycled Book Crafts: Use old books to create stunning, eco-friendly art pieces and explore the beauty of repurposing.
Painting and Drawing: From watercolors to acrylic paint markers, campers will explore different artistic techniques to bring their stories and ideas to life on canvas.
At the end of the week, campers will have a collection of their own artwork and poems, showcasing their creativity and the power of words and visuals working together.
